E-cigarettes (บุหรี่ไฟฟ้า) cannot legally be imported or sold in Thailand, yet they still turn up in school toilets, hotel rooms and office stairwells. Vape Guardian picks up vaping, THC and Spice and tells staff in about 5 seconds.

Thailand Vaping Laws
Thailand has banned the import of e-cigarettes since 2014, and Decree No. 24/2024 of the Committee on Safety of Products and Services bans making them for sale and selling them. Holding smuggled vapes can breach the Customs Act 2017, and using a nicotine vape in a designated non-smoking area can lead to a fine of up to 5,000 baht under the Tobacco Products Control Act 2017 (Government Public Relations Department; Tobacco Control Laws).
In March 2025 the Ministry of Education told every school and ministry building to put up smoke-free signs, watch for e-cigarette use by students and staff, and take disciplinary action against staff involved (The Nation, 2025). Sensors help school directors and building managers keep watch over toilets and fire stairs that teachers cannot patrol.
We’re confident Vape Guardian will work in your school, hotel or office. If it doesn’t, our 100-day money-back guarantee lets you try vape detection in Thailand with very little risk.

Sensors for Thai Buildings
From international and bilingual schools to resort hotels, condominiums and office towers in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, see where sensors help keep buildings smoke-free.
Tested in UK School Toilets
Thai schools can adopt a system already fitted in hundreds of UK schools, where it monitors the air in toilets with no cameras or microphones.
Hotels, resorts, shopping malls and cinemas can catch vaping in guest rooms, toilets and back-of-house corridors early, before the smell reaches other guests.
The 2022 Global Youth Tobacco Survey found that 17.6% of Thai students aged 13 to 15 were current e-cigarette users, up from 3.3% in 2015 (Department of Disease Control). Here is what our system gives schools facing that rise.
Teaching, Not Just Catching
Our vaping education course, developed with LifeLab at the University of Southampton, gives teachers material on the health risks to use after an alert.
UK Design and Engineering
Our own UK team designs the sensors and writes the software, so a single company answers for the hardware, the app and every update.
Specialists on Hand
Reach our vaping, hardware and software specialists by email, phone or Live Chat, from site planning to day-to-day alerts.
Customers in 27 Countries
Hundreds of UK schools rely on Vape Guardian, and we supply customers in 27 countries.
Beyond Vaping
Each unit also flags cigarette smoke, over-occupancy and sudden loud noise, so staff hear about disturbances in toilets too.
Updates Over the Air
New features reach your sensors remotely at no extra cost, with no technician visit needed.
3 Steps to a Staff Alert
How a hidden vape becomes a message on a staff phone.
Vaping
Someone vapes in a toilet cubicle, guest room or stairwell, and the cloud drifts into the room.
Detection
The sensor samples the air non-stop and spots the signature of vape aerosol, THC or Spice. It has no camera or microphone.
Notification
A teacher, duty manager or security guard gets an SMS, email or app alert in about 5 seconds and can check straight away.
Half the Incidents in Weeks
Vape Guardian customers have seen vaping incidents cut in half within about two weeks of installation, as people learn that vaping indoors gets noticed quickly.
They pick up a single puff of vape and send alerts to staff straight away, they're that accurate.
