Vape Guardian helps post-primary schools, ETB colleges and employers across Ireland detect vaping in toilets and changing rooms, sending staff an alert in about 5 seconds.
The ESPAD Ireland 2024 survey of 15 to 16-year-olds in post-primary schools found that 32% had tried e-cigarettes, 16% were current users and 7% vaped daily, with 14 the most common age to start (Department of Health, 2025). Here is how our system helps principals and boards of management respond.
Supports SPHE Learning
Our vaping education course, developed with LifeLab at the University of Southampton, can sit alongside Junior Cycle SPHE, which now includes learning on how vapes are marketed.
Engineered by Our UK Team
We design the sensor and build the software in-house, so one company is responsible for the hardware, the app and every update.
Same Time Zone Support
Our vaping, hardware and software specialists are a phone call, email or Live Chat away during your school day.
Hundreds of UK Schools
Vape Guardian is used in hundreds of UK schools and by customers in 27 countries, and customers have seen vaping incidents cut in half within about two weeks.
Alerts Beyond Vaping
Each sensor also reports cigarette smoke, overcrowding and loud noises, so staff hear about trouble sooner.
No-Cost Remote Updates
Improvements are sent over the air free of charge, so nobody needs to visit every school building.
We're confident Vape Guardian will help your school or workplace. If it doesn't, our 100-day money-back guarantee makes trying vape detection low risk.

Vaping Law in Ireland
Under the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023, selling a vape to anyone under 18 has been an offence since 22 December 2023, with fines of up to €4,000 (Department of Health). Since 23 September 2024 vapes cannot be sold at events aimed at children or advertised in schools or within 200 metres of school grounds. The Public Health (Single-Use Vapes) Act 2026 bans the sale of disposable vapes from 24 January 2027 (Houses of the Oireachtas).
