Vape Guardian helps folkeskoler, efterskoler, gymnasier and employers in Denmark detect e-cigarette use in toilets and changing rooms, alerting staff in about 5 seconds so røgfri skoletid holds.
Youth vaping has risen sharply in Denmark. The §RØG survey found 14.3% of 15 to 17-year-olds used e-cigarettes daily or occasionally in 2024, up from 4.5% in 2020, and 9.9% of 15 to 29-year-olds did so in 2025 (National Institute of Public Health, SDU). Here is how our system helps school leaders respond.

E-Cigarette Rules in Denmark
Danish law requires røgfri skoletid: pupils at schools, boarding schools and efterskoler with under-18s may not use e-cigarettes, with or without nicotine, during school hours, and the head must tell pupils about the ban and its consequences (Retsinformation). Since 1 April 2022, e-cigarettes and e-liquids with flavours other than tobacco or menthol have been banned, and from 1 April 2025 e-cigarettes fall under the same smoke-free rules as smoking in workplaces and other indoor spaces (Ministry of the Interior and Health).
Relied On by Hundreds of UK Schools
Danish schools can install a system used in hundreds of UK schools to monitor toilets without cameras or microphones.
They pick up a single puff of vape and send alerts to staff straight away, they're that accurate.
