Isle of Man prohibits selling e-cigarettes to minors.

On the Isle of Man, it is now illegal to sell vaping products to anyone younger than 18.
The new regulations prohibit anyone over the age of 18 from purchasing any vaping device for a juvenile, bringing the island into compliance with legislation that were adopted in the UK in 2016.
Beginning on September 1st, additional regulations will prohibit the open promotion or exhibition of vaping items anywhere on the island where minors are permitted entry.
The actions were described as “an important move for the current and future health of young people” by Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan.

In June of last year, the Manx administration presented the legislation to the House of Keys, which came after a December 2022 public survey on the matter.
According to the survey’s findings, 73% of participants supported a ban on selling goods to people younger than 18.
The new laws prohibit under-18s from purchasing or receiving vapes, e-cigarettes, replacement components, or vaping liquids, regardless of whether the liquid includes nicotine.
According to the government, wholesalers and specialty vaping stores will not be affected by the upcoming prohibition on the display or advertising of the goods, provided that they do not permit entry by anyone under the age of 18.
While it brought the island into compliance with UK law regarding product sales, Ms. Lord-Brennan stated that it would go beyond its legal framework by enacting new point of sale regulations. This means that the promotion and display of vapes would be limited in establishments that cater to minors and the underage.
