A fifteen-year-old boy was brought unconscious to the hospital after vaping caused his pee to turn black.

School physicians were convinced that the teenager was high on narcotics or that his vaporizer had been tampered with because of how confused he was.

However, it was determined that Jake was, in fact, “severely dehydrated” once he was taken to the hospital.

His mother Melony Staple shared the horrific experience on Facebook, warning that vaping with nicotine will take your life away.

On May 10, the teenager awoke with a sensation that every part of her body hurt.
Melony told Jake to be checked out by the school nurse, saying she assumed he was just playing me because he’s such a funny guy.

Within ten minutes, the nurse called the mother to inform her that Jake was “disoriented”.

After looking through the teen’s things, a school resource officer discovered two vape pens.

Melony said that they believed he was either high on narcotics or had been laced through a vaporizer. The vapes were sent for testing.
But the mother was certain that Jake was dehydrated.
Upon his collapse, Jake startled the medical staff and was hurried to the hospital.
After undergoing a battery of testing, the teenager was found to be very dehydrated and in danger of kidney damage.
Doctors stated that his severe dehydration and the fact that his faeces had turned “almost black”—normally, faeces should be translucent and the colour of pale straw—were directly related to the vape pen he was using nonstop throughout the day.

Sixteen hours after Jake was taken to the hospital, Melony shared on Facebook that her kid “had only moved to pee once” and “could not stay awake for much longer than thirty to sixty seconds at a time.”

The teenager didn’t wake up for more than thirty hours.

Melody stated that although he was asleep for that duration, she was awake for more than 30 hours. He refused to speak. He used to shiver and jerk, curling up into a ball when he woke up.

He remains incredibly perplexed. He comes and goes even while we are at home.

None of it is recalled by him. It appeared as though he had fallen asleep. He might believe I’m simply being cruel right now.
Nicotine, which is found in cigarettes and vape pens, has been shown to dehydrate people. Propylene glycol is one of the other materials in the devices that may intensify this impact.

Melony stated of Jake that he ended up in the hospital due to severe dehydration brought on by vaping. His pee had turned dark.

I now know that he was vaping when he shouldn’t have been in school. I believed things to be under control.

Vaping will give you an energy boost and a false sense of strength, especially if you’re working. You’ll push yourself too hard and become dehydrated more quickly.
Then they’ll hit their nicotine rather than have a drink. Instead of having a meal, they will vape. Then they become uncontrollable. They are inexperienced in their field.

Jake was placing rocks as a part-time job.

The teenager said that he began vaping two or three years ago in an effort to “fit in” after witnessing other students at school smoking in the lavatory.

His “addiction” to vaping turned into a habit, though, and he switched from flavouring his vaporizer to menthol.

He was utilising a variety of vapes, including Vuses, Juuls, Elf Bars, and Juice Heads.
I felt like I had to perform every morning in order to be completely awake.

Jake was smoking about one five percent menthol nicotine pod every four days, which is the same as about twenty cigarettes.
Melony said she was afraid Jake might resume vaping despite the experience.

She expressed her fear for her son’s life in a Facebook post, cautioning other parents to be on the alert for the devices.

Every day, check your children’s baggage. beneath mattresses. Covers.
The mother continued, “Every vape i will see in the future will be broken and trashed.”
